Brief Bio

Spark 皇毅是一位創作歌手、音樂製作人與音樂科技研究者。他在15歲時便以自由接案者的身份展開音樂職業生涯，同時自學音樂軟體與程式開發，逐步累積了跨領域能力，涵蓋音樂製作、音效設計、電影配樂、演唱、饒舌、音樂插件開發，以及聲音科技相關應用。

2016年，年僅16歲的他以短片、廣告與商業配樂案的收入，創立帝位影音製作有限公司（ROLE Production Company），開始發展結合創作、製作與商業實務的音樂道路。他曾擔任飛兒樂團 F.I.R. 的音樂助理，並參與多項大型活動音樂製作，包括高雄旗津國際啤酒節主題曲《還有 你的笑容》與台北捷運街舞大賽主題曲《SB的逆襲》，展現他在流行音樂、影像配樂與街頭文化之間的多元製作能力。

2020年，他與華研國際音樂合作，發行首張個人專輯《格林成人童話》（Fairy Fakeass Tale）。專輯以格林童話作為寓言，揭露社會表象下的腐敗、暴力與慾望等黑暗主題，並透過獨特的敘事方式建立個人鮮明的創作風格。專輯中與 Karencici、F.I.R. 等音樂人的合作，也為他帶來更多在台灣的演出與創作機會。

近年來，Spark 持續拓展他在幕後製作與影視音樂上的能量。目前他的代表作品之一為 FEniX 演唱的 《木偶人·晝 Puppet of Dawn》，該曲為節目《百分之一相對論 The Theory of One Percent》單元主題曲。Spark 深度參與此作品的詞曲創作、製作、編曲、配唱、錄音與混音，以兼具流行敘事與影像感的製作手法，展現他在商業作品與個人音樂語彙之間的成熟掌握。

在學術背景上，Spark 於2023年取得密西根大學表演藝術技術學士學位，並於2025年取得斯坦福大學音樂、科學與技術碩士學位。他的研究 《Perception of Rhyme in Rap Music: Effects of Beat Alignment and Word Placement》 聚焦於饒舌音樂中的押韻感知，探討節拍對齊與詞語位置如何影響聽眾對押韻的辨識與反應。

作為一位橫跨創作、製作、演出與音樂科技研究的音樂人，Spark 皇毅持續以多面向的身份推動自己的音樂實踐。他不僅能完成從詞曲到製作的完整創作流程，也將科技、聲音研究與流行音樂製作結合，展現新世代音樂人兼具藝術感與技術力的可能性。

Spark 皇毅, is a singer-songwriter, music producer, and music technologist. He began his professional music journey at the age of 15 as a freelance composer and producer, while also teaching himself music software programming. These early experiences helped him develop a wide-ranging skill set across music production, sound design, film scoring, singing, rap performance, audio plugin development, and sound technology applications.

In 2016, at the age of 16, Spark founded ROLE Production Company using income he earned from short film, advertising, and commercial music projects. Through the company, he began building a creative career that bridges artistry, production, and entrepreneurship. He has also worked as a music assistant for F.I.R., and has produced music for major events, including “還有 你的笑容” for the Kaohsiung Cijin International Beer Festival and “SB的逆襲” for the Taipei Metro Street Dance Competition. These works reflect his versatility across pop music, media scoring, and urban cultural sound.

In 2020, he released his debut album Fairy Fakeass Tale under HIM International Music. The album reimagines Grimm’s fairy tales as modern allegories that reveal the corruption, violence, desire, and darkness beneath society’s polished surface. Featuring collaborations with artists such as Karencici and F.I.R., the album helped establish Spark’s distinctive voice as a singer-songwriter and led to numerous performance opportunities in Taiwan.

In recent years, Spark has continued to expand his work as a producer and media composer. One of his current representative works is FEniX’s “木偶人·晝 Puppet of Dawn,” the theme song for a segment of the television program The Theory of One Percent. Spark was deeply involved in the song’s songwriting, production, arrangement, vocal production, recording, and mixing. Through this work, he demonstrates a mature command of both commercial pop production and cinematic musical storytelling.

Academically, Spark earned his Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts Technology from the University of Michigan in 2023, and his Master’s degree in Music, Science, and Technology from Stanford University in 2025. His research, “Perception of Rhyme in Rap Music: Effects of Beat Alignment and Word Placement,” explores how beat alignment and word placement influence listeners’ perception of rhyme in rap music.

As a musician working across songwriting, production, performance, and music technology research, Spark continues to define himself as a multifaceted artist. His work reflects not only the ability to complete the full creative process from composition to production, but also a commitment to connecting technology, sound research, and contemporary pop music.
